This wedding was full of Southern Charm. The Lange Farm was a perfect setting for Emily and David’s wedding. The couple exchanged their vows under a beautiful Live Oak tree on the property. Guests were then invited to enjoy cocktails and appetizers on the terrace. Emily and David selected three fun appetizers that fit their Southern theme:
Southern Fried Chicken & Waffle Bites
boneless fried chicken bites on waffle squares, with homemade pecan maple butter
Fried Mac-N-Cheese Lollipops
comfort food meets class-our most requested item!
Tomato Caprese Skewer
mozzarella, grape tomato and basil, skewered on a “pipette” of balsamic vinaigrette
Emily and David were open to new ideas and trusted us to help them create a custom menu for their special day. Guests started with Strawberry Spring Salad and then a Duet Plate of “Southern” Shrimp and Grits and Pan-Roasted Chicken topped with topped with an creamy artichoke, lemon and leek coulis served with Roasted Asparagus. The Bride, who wasn’t a huge fan of shrimp, loved our Shrimp and Grits at the tasting so much that she finished everything on her plate! We received a lovely review and personal thank you card from Emily and David.
Review: “Good Food Catering was great! The food was unique and delicious. Our guests raved about the Caprese Skewers and the Southern Chicken and Waffle appetizers for weeks!”
Some of our favorite touches were:
- The pom-pom exit featuring University of Florida colors; blue and orange.
- The Grooms and Groomsmen seersucker suits; how cool is that!
- The nine different cakes and pies from Wrights Gourmet House to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth.
- The blush tones of pink and green in the bouquets, centerpieces and bridesmaid dresses.
